What are the faults of nitrogen compressors

  • Once the compressor experiences oil or water cut-off, the control system will issue an alarm indication and delay the shutdown to protect the nitrogen compressor. When the tertiary exhaust temperature and pressure exceed the set value, the system will also emit an alarm sound to remind operators to promptly eliminate the problem and avoid safety accidents; Enlarge or even reach 3mm or more, and the right angle of the ring groove has been worn to an angle. So, the piston body was sent to the lathe for further processing of the guide ring groove, and at the same time, Unijie compressor service personnel were contacted to add a widened non-standard guide ring. Due to the widening of the guide ring, the axial clearance is appropriately enlarged by 0.1-0.2mm compared to the standard, allowing for the continued use of the piston body. It is recommended to reserve one piston body at all levels. If a problem with the guide ring is found during routine inspection and a new one needs to be hot sleeved, the spare piston body can be directly used. According to the operating procedures, the hot sleeved guide ring requires a long furnace cooling process. Replacing the new piston body can save maintenance time and ensure that the spare machine is in good condition.

    After running for over 6000 hours, the nitrogen compressor experienced abnormal inter stage pressure: the first stage exhaust pressure and temperature were on the high side, and then decreased again. During the shutdown inspection, there were stainless steel metal plates inside the secondary intake valve, and stainless steel fragments were squeezed on the upper and lower end faces of the secondary piston body. There are stainless steel elastic rings in the grooves of the piston rings of the machine's piston body. At this time, only 2.4-4.3mm of the three piston rings in the second stage are left (the new ring is 13mm, with a minimum radial thickness of 7mm). Due to severe wear of the piston ring, the elastic ring in its groove is worn out against the cylinder wall, causing the elastic ring to break into fragments and cause internal leakage in the gas valve. By polishing the piston body and cylinder wall, replacing the second and third stage piston rings, inspecting the gas valves at all levels, removing the elastic rings at all levels, and restoring normal use, the elastic rings on the Unijie oxygen compressor were removed and no longer used.

    During the operation of the compressor, the temperature of the third stage exhaust increased abnormally. Upon on-site inspection, the first stage piston rod did not move up or down, and the second and third stages were normal. During the shutdown inspection, a cylinder collision accident occurred at the first level: one fixing bolt of the connecting rod big end bearing was broken, the piston stroke increased beyond the limit, the aluminum piston body was shattered, the cylinder head was hit, cracks and water seeped, and the connecting rod was broken. So the machine underwent a complete disassembly and overhaul, replacing the first stage piston body, connecting rod, damaged main bearing, large end bearing, connecting rod bolts, etc. The unit was re aligned and finally returned to service. Air valve malfunction. In daily inspections, it is possible to touch the suction valves at all levels by hand. If hot hands or significantly high temperatures are found, the gas valve may have internal leakage. If the valve is shut down, it needs to be disassembled and inspected. Generally, the problem is caused by the valve plate breaking or falling off, or the valve plate is worn and not tightly sealed, and the valve cover is loose, which can also cause internal leakage and abnormal noise. The failure of the suction and exhaust valves in this stage can cause an increase in the exhaust pressure and temperature of the previous stage.

         压缩机一旦出现断油或断水现象时,控制系统会发出报警指示,并且延时停机以保护氮气压缩机,当三级排气温度和压力超过设定植时,系统也会发出报警声,来提醒操作人员及时排除问题,避免安全事故的发生;扩大甚至达到3mm以上、环槽直角已磨损成斜的。于是,将活塞体送到车床上对导向环槽进行再加工,同时联系优尼捷压缩机服务人员另配加宽非标导向环。由于导向环加宽,轴向间隙比标准适当放大0.1~0.2mm,从而能够继续使用该活塞体。建议各级活塞体均备用1只,例检时发现导向环问题需重新热套新环时,可直接使用备用活塞体,因按照操作规程,热套导向环工作需要一个较长的随炉冷却过程,更换新活塞体可节约检修时间,保证备机完好状态。
  •       氮气压缩机在运行6000多小时后出现级间压力异常现象:一级排气压力和温度偏高,后来又下降。停机检查,二级进气阀内有不锈钢金属片,二级活塞体上下端面挤压有不锈钢碎片。该机活塞体的活塞环的环槽内均有不锈钢弹力环,这时二级的三只活塞环仅剩2.4~4.3mm(新环13mm,规定最小径向厚度7mm)。因活塞环磨损严重,导致其槽内的弹力环出来与气缸壁磨损,弹力环断裂成碎块,造成气阀内漏。通过打磨活塞体和缸壁、更换新的二三级活塞环、检查各级气阀、拆下各级弹力环后恢复正常使用,并将优尼捷的氧压机上的弹力环均拆下不再使用。
  •       压缩机运行中,三级排气温度异常上升,现场检查一级活塞杆未做上下运动,二三级正常。停机检查到一级发生撞缸事故:连杆大头瓦固定螺栓断裂一只,活塞行程加大超限,铝活塞体被撞碎、气缸盖被撞裂缝渗水、连杆断裂。于是该机进行全部解体大修,更换一级活塞体、连杆、损坏的主轴瓦、大头瓦、连杆螺栓等。机组重新对中,最后得以恢复使用。气阀故障。日常巡检中,可手摸各级吸气阀,发现烫手或温度明显偏高,则该气阀有内漏,停机需拆检,一般是阀片断裂掉块问题,或阀片磨损密封不严,气阀阀罩松动也会造成内漏和异响。该级吸排气阀故障都能造成上一级排气压力和温度升高。
